And when the Word happens upon them, We will bring forth for them a beast from the earth speaking to them: “Mankind was not sure of Our verses”.
Word in this verse means the Last Hour. The coming forth of a beast is one among the 10 Crucial Signs of Doomsday as explained in verse 6: 158. Instead of saying Lord’s verses, the beast is saying: “Our verses” which means the beast is talking on behalf of the Lord. Verse 45: 20 says: “Adhikr is the Insight for the entire mankind, Guidance, and Mercy for those people who have convinced belief”. Verse 32: 12 says: “If you could see how Mujirims will bow their heads before their Lord saying: Our Lord! We have observed and heard, so you send us back to the earth! So that we may do good deeds; indeed, we have become the convinced believers!” See explanation 2: 4.
